In 2006, at just 23 years old, Nathan founded his own IT company, Dynamic Business Technologies. Nathan initially started working as an IT technician for various businesses and never envisioned himself as a business owner. However, he noticed that many IT providers were lacking in creating meaningful connections with their clients and were prioritising innovation at the cost of customer experiences. Because of this, Nathan has led Dynamic Business to deliver a full suite of IT services while focusing on creating impactful customer experiences from the beginning.

Personal Interests

When I don't have my head in the business, I am throwing myself into other hobbies from obstacle course racing, weekend sports, or trivia. A good workout is my way of prepping for the day, but after a big day at work, I'll happily cook up a nice meal in the kitchen. A great weekend for me looks like a Dark and Stormy in hand, slow-cooking a lamb and spending time with friends and family.

As our Operations Manager, Jake ensures that our business operations run like a well-oiled machine. When a client has an issue, he ensures seamless and timely resolution by assigning the right technician to do the job. In addition to managing our core operations, Jake is responsible for service, project delivery, and setting corporate strategy, contributing significantly to our sustainable growth.

Jake is a dynamic professional with a rich background and skill set in various fields of IT. Beginning his career in the marketing and sales industry, his passion for technology led him to switch to IT. Since joining DBT in 2020, he has worn many hats, such as undertaking tech on-site, account and project management, and service desk engineering. Despite his title, Jake’s role extends beyond operations, overseeing much of the Service Desk and Service Delivery, demonstrating his versatility and commitment. 

Personal Interests

I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my wife and kids. On the weekends, I spend as much time as possible in the great outdoors and enjoy swimming in the ocean year-round. I am a bit of a football freak, and I play the game every Friday and watch English Football before the sun rises.

As our General Manager, Ned wears many hats. His responsibilities include overseeing the daily functions of our business, finding improvements along the way, and managing client relationships. Most importantly, Ned looks after the people at Dynamic Business. He ensures that the company continues to be a place for everyone to thrive and work in. In practice, this means he actively cultivates our company culture it's values and fosters collaboration, support, and growth. He supports teams and individuals in achieving their personal and career goals while driving the company’s objectives.

Ned has always had a passion for helping people achieve and succeed. Before joining Dynamic Business, he spent many years working in community services in Australia and overseas, from frontline support to rostering and managing teams. In 2020, he was ready for a career change and made the move to Dynamic Business Technologies. With a particular interest in the people side of what we do, he quickly made a move from workforce forecasting to People and Culture manager and then to General Manager, where he continues to work with our entire team to make sure that we are all working towards the same goals, and everyone has the opportunity to excel.

Personal Interests

I am fortunate enough to have travelled to many countries, but I always want to add more to the list. I love spending time in Europe in the winter and have lived in Scotland and France. Unfortunately, full-time travelling isn't an option, so in my downtime, I like to play sports, learn new skills, and enjoy baking and brewing my own craft beer.

This versatility enables him to understand and address each customer's unique needs effectively. He brings over 20 years of experience in IT sales and is a crucial part of our Sales and Marketing team.

Mark is an experienced Business Development & Account Manager. Mark brings a wealth of expertise and a long history in the information technology and services industry. He's a student of humanity and has a unique ability to understand the human impact of a business's IT and help find solutions that will work for the individuals involved and the broader business.

Outside the office, I enjoy playing Veterans Cricket all year round. I am a family man, so spending time with my family and wife is important to me. A perfect weekend for me is getting outside, walking our two dogs, or riding bikes along the coast with my wife.

As Sales Support, Leoner is a key player on our sales team. He handles sales tracking, order processing and expediting, and quote creation, ensuring smooth sales operations and high customer satisfaction. His role is integral to the success of his sales team, but you'll never see him taking his place in the spotlight; he is much happier remaining in the background, quietly making sure everything is moving along.

Leoner became a part of our DBT team in 2017 and quickly became an essential team member. Over the years, he's steadily taken on more and more responsibility, growing from pure administrative support for the team into a key driver of the processes that keep things moving for our team.

I like to work on my car in my downtime, a never-ending project that needs fixing, tweaking, or improving. To some, it might seem crazy, but it's a labour of love.

Catalina is a jack of all trades in marketing, from website creation to social media posts, branding to writing award nominations, and everything in between. With boundless enthusiasm for the world of marketing, she's the one who puts us in the spotlight and makes sure we stay there.

Marketing is in Catalina's blood. She graduated from Newcastle University in 2022 with her Bachelor in Business, Majoring in Marketing and Management. After graduation, she dove straight into the fast-paced and ever-changing marketing world. She worked in several different roles, building her skills and experience, and then saw the clean slate that was Dynamic Business Technologies. She jumped at the chance to put everything she'd learnt into practice and build our brand from the ground up. Catalina wears all the marketing hats, from social media to digital marketing, branding and marketing strategy, and campaigns.

When not taking the marketing world by storm, I enjoy spending my time cuddling up with a good book and a warm cup of tea. I am always looking for new hobbies to try, and right now, they include reading fiction novels, completing puzzles, growing plants, and video gaming.

Ashleigh adeptly manages financial transactions, prepares budgets, monitors expenses, analyses financial data for decision-making, ensures compliance with regulations, handles invoicing and billing, conducts financial forecasting, supports audits, and collaborates with departments to optimise financial performance and efficiency.

Her adaptability has seen her take on increasingly complex financial roles, reflecting her commitment to professional development and the organisation's evolving needs. I have recently become big on travel. I enjoy escaping the Aussie winter by chasing the sun around the world. When I am not travelling, I will likely plan my next one. Outside of work, I enjoy walking on the beach with my dog and spending time with family or friends over a good brunch.

Cassandra is our clients' initial point of contact, offering a friendly and inviting introduction and efficiently guiding them to the right person to talk to. Cassandra has been a part of our team for over two years. Before her role as Digital Concierge, she worked for over 15 years in the childcare industry. Cassandra loves to be challenged, so she made a radical career move to business administration in the IT space. When not at work, I would like to be on a tropical island, enjoying a drink and a tan, but I am most likely playing video games with my family or hitting the gym.

As one of our Azure Leads, Troy expertly oversees cloud architecture, ensuring optimal Azure solutions with robust security and compliance standards. He spearheads deployments, manages service operations, and drives innovation. He works closely with our sales and account management team to bring robust solutions to our clients.

Troy has worked as an IT Technician for over 20 years, with 18 years at Dynamic Business. His career in IT began at a computer repair shop where he worked as a workshop tech alongside our Managing Director, Nathan. After leaving as a workplace technician, Nathan offered Troy a job at his new IT company, Dynamic Business Technologies. Throughout his 18 years at DBT, Troy has been deploying and maintaining equipment and services, designing solutions, auditing, and assisting in sales and account management.

Personal Interests

When not at work, I enjoy spending my free time outside in nature and taking good photographs. One fun fact about me is that I used to swim competitively, and while I may not do that anymore, I still have the lung capacity to hold my breath for several minutes.

While Chris's primary role is coordinating our projects and ensuring they are delivered to plan and on time, there's so much more to what he does. Over the years, Chris has built many strong relationships with clients and can combine his outstanding technical knowledge with his strong people skills, making him an exceptional technical account manager. He's also our most senior engineer.

Chris started working for Dynamic Business Technologies in 2009 and has progressed from a service desk technician through a specialist network technician, lead network technician, and project manager to the multi-talented technical lead he is today. He consistently and enthusiastically applied himself to his studies along the journey, with advanced certifications in various technical fields.

Chris enjoys the great outdoors and takes every opportunity to spend time exploring. He particularly enjoys mountain biking and taking every opportunity to get away to the snow when the seasons allow it. If he can't escape on an adventure, he'll burn some of his boundless energy in the gym.

Daniel is our Service Desk Team Leader and is responsible for guiding the service desk team in resolving IT issues efficiently. He manages workflows, mentors his team, communicates with clients, ensures service quality, and participates in IT projects. Daniel’s role is vital for maintaining client satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Daniel brings a decade of IT experience to our team. His expertise spans various IT domains, including cybersecurity, cloud services, and troubleshooting. When I am not at work, I like to make things by hand; for example, I make my pens and other craft ideas from wood. I enjoy cooking a good BBQ; like most technicians, I enjoy gaming with my friends.

Matthew is one of our Azure Leads. Matthew architects cloud solutions tailored to client objectives, ensuring alignment with business goals. He spearheads the development and deployment of Azure-based services, manages cloud infrastructure, and integrates DBT platforms. His expertise facilitates seamless service delivery, leveraging Azure’s capabilities to enhance our clients’ technological landscape.

Matthews's journey to IT began over 12 years ago when he began working as an internal data entry technician. As someone who enjoys complex challenges, Matthew moved to an MSP where he enjoyed the fast-paced environment of working in the MSP industry. Matthew specialises in migrating businesses of all sizes to the cloud - from small to global enterprises. For Matthew, the most complex and challenging migrations to the cloud are the most rewarding.

Personal Interests  

When I am not at work, I like to be outdoors as much as possible, and in my spare time, I am probably on an adventure or planning my next one. I also spend a lot of my time fishing with my friends. An interesting fact about me is that I know a lot of general facts, which come in handy for pub trivia.

Sean is our go-to for all things cybersecurity. As a Modern Workplace and Security Lead, he implements cybersecurity strategies to protect client systems and data. He evaluates vulnerabilities, puts protective measures in place, and leads incident responses. Sean is crucial in maintaining clients' IT security and compliance, ensuring their systems remain secure and resilient.

Professional Experience

Sean has worked in IT for over 20 years and has worked on - and identified the security flaws and exploits in - pretty much every system used this millennium. He lives, breathes, and speaks tech. Still, you don't get to his level of seniority without having the people skills that allow him to build rapport and break complicated technical concepts into language anyone can understand.

Personal Interests

Outside work, I enjoy unwinding by watching movies and TV shows, particularly Japanese Anime. I love trying new foods, and I caught the gym bug while at Dynamic Business. Generally, I will try to work out at least once a day.

Qualifications

Greg is a highly skilled IT generalist. He has the skill set and experience to specialise, but he enjoys the front-line work on the support desk too much to leave it behind. When he gets a ticket, you know it will likely be resolved quickly, efficiently, and with minimal fuss so that he can move on to the next job. He takes special enjoyment from working with others new to the industry and sharing the wealth of knowledge he's accumulated over the years.

Greg contributes over 16 years of IT experience to the team, three of which he spent with us. He's worked as a service desk engineer, an onsite technician, and a service desk Team Leader.  He is interested in Cyber Security, where his efficient and direct approach to resolving issues is a great asset to mitigating risks quickly.

Personal Interests

I proudly own a 250-acre farm in Queensland's Western Downs region. Most of my spare time goes towards running and maintaining all aspects of a small farm. Other interests include but are not limited to gaming, hunting, fishing, renovating, photography, and graphic design. I enjoy blending my love for farming, camping, and fishing with my passion for computers and gaming, creating a unique balance between the outdoors and technology.

Josh is another crucial member of our tech team. He is responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, managing email signatures, maintaining hardware and software, implementing security measures, and providing technical support to ensure smooth and efficient IT operations.

Josh began his IT career in 2012 at a local computer repair store. In this role, he was responsible for direct customer repairs and hardware procurement. Josh is always looking for the next big challenge, so he progressively started working in larger computer repair stores and taking on more responsibilities. He joined us in 2016 and has been consistently delivering excellent customer service to our clients.

Outside of work, I am involved in many things. I have hosted local esports tournaments and game servers for over ten years. I worked on small indie games and large-scale modding projects. My interests go beyond tech - I have been in small bands, and I love to have a good sing to myself. I have recently helped do pre-production on an indie metal band's EP/album and will be working with them again in the future.

Dylan is a dedicated part of our service desk and is strongly committed to customer satisfaction. He troubleshoots technical issues, provides timely customer support, and keeps critical software current. His expertise in a broad range of IT systems and his specialist Linux skills make him an invaluable asset to our team.

Dylan is the young gun of the team. Having always been interested in all things tech (he started setting up servers at home to play games when he was just a child), he makes a committed and dedicated part of our Service Desk team. Dylan completed his TAFE Cert IV in IT (networking) early in his IT journey. Since then, he's developed a broad skill set, with a particular specialisation in Linux.

When not working, I spend downtime listening to audiobooks; my current listen is Stephen King's Dark Tower series. Besides that, I love gaming as a great way to stay connected with friends interstate. Even in my downtime, I'll still take the opportunity to work with different technology whenever I get the chance, learning the ins and outs of anything I can get my hands on.

Ryan brings strong customer service and problem-solving skills, allowing him to shine in his role. His role includes being our primary on-site technician and travelling onsite to resolve issues promptly, so there's a good chance he'll visit you at some stage. He has a particular interest in networking, but there's not much that breaks that he can't fix.

Before he entered the IT world, Ryan worked in the public sector for over 15 years. Ryan has always had an interest in technology, and after 15 years of working in the same industry, he decided it was time to make the switch. His entry into the IT industry has been here at Dynamic Business, where he continues to deliver excellent customer service to our clients and win every challenge that comes his way. Ryan enjoys the problem-solving and hands-on aspect of working in an MSP and seeing his work's impact on clients.

I have been fortunate enough to travel to different parts of the world, such as Europe and Central and South America. I would love to travel around Australia more to learn about my backyard. I enjoy spending as much time as possible with family and friends on the weekends. I enjoy playing PC games with my mates, playing soccer and listening to heavy metal.

Bernadene specialises in automation, power app development, and SharePoint administration and projects. However, she cut her teeth on the service desk and still loves getting her hands dirty, resolving customer issues directly. She's constantly learning and developing her skills, and what she doesn't know today, she'll probably have become an expert by tomorrow.

When I'm not working, you can usually find me immersed in movies or a TV series, enjoying moments with my cat and niece, or spending quality time with my family and friends. Whether it's cosying up for a movie marathon, playing with my cat and niece, or simply hanging out and catching up with loved ones, these moments outside work are precious to me.
